Dear future subscriber, spark-receiver, and cheer-spreader,
Each month I look forward to brightening your mailbox with some inspiration, cheerleading, hope and invitations.
I'll write you a note that is either typed or handwritten. You'll also receive an original art print postcard or flat card with envelope (sometimes even with postage stamp) to send/give to someone else to share the love and ignite a movement of more kindness and gentleness in the world. Additionally, you'll receive an original art and calligraphy "lift card" that's the size of the business card for you to keep and/or pass along. Soon, I'll also include an original art oracle/reflection card print for you to collect as a set. Finally, there will often be surprises like a sticker or two, bookmark, or extra of any of these items.
I care about our planet. Your envelope(s), paper, cardstock and any sticker will be recycled and sustainable content.
You're welcome to keep what you receive or send to someone else. I've long loved writing notes and mailing cards and goodies to people to put more kindness and love into the world. And I love to be creative and share my creations. I didn't even know there was such a thing as "snail mail clubs" until I started researching how I could do just that and start creating a list of people to whom I could send these goodies.
I've handmade cards most of my life. More recently, I've been using watercolors or colored pencils to create art on these cards, and I write in calligraphy. For years people have asked if they could buy my cards.
We're overwhelmed by screens. Snail mail is a lovely way to promote slowing down, pausing in reflection, calming our nervous system, and feeling extra-loved and cheered.
I grew up in a trauma-filled home, and I was often criticized and harmed. The gift in my maturing and healing throughout several decades (I'm now in my early 50s) has been to be kind and supportive with others.
Cheers to your lighter, brighter days,
Erika
