Ride along with artist and writer, Stephen Perry, and his dog, Boozer, as they wander the backroads of America. Each month you will receive a personal letter with a story about their travels. Included with the letter will be a 5x7 signed, frameable print inspired by the journey, a matching 5x7 Notecard and Envelope and a fun, color sticker or bookmark to remind you of the journey. Come along in search of interesting flora, fauna and rustic old structures along the forgotten byways.
A note from your creator
As a printmaker, writer and retired Landscape Architect, I have spent my life in appreciation of the natural landscape and have continually worked to interpret that appreciation to others. My love of the natural beauty and rugged character of the backroad landscape has directed all of my artistic pursuits. Every location has its own beauty and sense of place. I have made it a goal to consciously be in the moment to see the beauty right in front of me. My goal is to find that beauty and to extract that unique character in an original image that is, on one hand, recognizable, yet seen in a different mode. I have traveled the two-lane highways extensively looking for the character and beauty to be found along those oft-forgotten byways. With my pup, Boozer, by my side, travel along with us as we revisit some of our favorite places and experience new and exciting adventures. There is beauty around every bend in the road if you slow down and take time to see what’s at your feet.
Every month you will receive: A 5 x 7 Signed Print on heavy, Acid-free Watercolor Paper, protected in an archival acetate sleeve. A matching 5 x 7 Notecard and Envelope, blank inside. A personal Typewritten Letter about our travels and the emotions behind creation of the print. A fun, colorful 3" Sticker to remind you of the journey.
Once a month, take a break from your everyday rush, slow down, sip a cup of coffee and wander the countryside through the eyes and pen of an artist and his dog. You will begin to see your own surroundings in a whole new way.
